Compiled here is one of the most comprehensive online
marketing resource lists available. If you want to drive
hundreds, or thousands, of interested customers to your
website -- this page gives you the information you need!
TRITIUM DOMAINS has used many of these programs in our
own marketing endeavors and have profited as a result. Now
we are sharing this information with you! Although there may
be some listed here we have not tried, by examining their
content,we felt they were worthy of inclusion.
Some popular marketing sites were not included on this list
because we have found them to be fraudulent. When
considering options not on this list, be very careful and
discerning... in fact, even when considering options on
this list, you should still be diligent to understand the
program fully before undertaking your campaign!
Resources have been divided into the following
categories (though
there may be some crossover):
Large
Cost-Per-Click Programs (CPC) - Ever wonder how some websites
show up at the very top of a search, while your website is nowhere
to be found? This is why! These programs feed search
results into the leading search engines (such as Google, Yahoo!, MSN
and more). Many of these sites function like an auction -- you
bid on the keyword or phrase (such as "unlimited long
distance") and if you bid high enough, whenever users search
the web using that keyword or phrase, your ad will show at the top
of the search results. You only pay if your ad catches the
searcher's eye and he clicks on it (at that point, whatever you pay
will be deducted from your advertising budget). BidClix and
BCentral work a little different, but same concept: you only pay for
clicks.Medium
Sized CPC Programs- Whereas the first group reaches the largest
web audience, it can also be more costly than the medium sized CPC
programs. Though we would recommend the first group over this
one, it is still a good way to generate traffic. Smaller
CPC Programs - These CPC programs are usually cheap.
Sometimes the traffic you get is good, sometimes it's not. You
get what you pay for. These are definitely worth a try, but
monitor your results closely! Agencies/Marketing
Firms for Larger Budgets - If you'd like to generate a ton of
traffic with the smallest use of your own time, you may want to
check these companies out. They will be more expensive, but
probably worth it! Emails/Newsletters/Networks,
etc. - Be included in legitimate email newsletter campaigns and
pay for clicks to your site. You may also run banner ads
throughout a network of websites. Will work with smaller
budgets, as well.
Some
terms you may need to know:
CPC
- means that you pay only when someone CLICKS on your ad.
Thus, it only COSTS PER CLICK.
PPC
- same as CPC. PAY PER CLICK.
CPM
- indicates what you will pay per 1000 (etc.) impressions of your
ad. In other words, you don't pay for clicks, but for the fact
that your site simply appears. Most common with banner
advertising.
Types
of advertising we do not recommend:
Pop-Up
Ads - Some companies will promise you a million visitors, but 99
times out of a hundred it is a waste of money. It annoys
consumers... most of the time people have pop-up blockers
anyway. Also, so many of these companies are outright frauds.
